History

Castcrete was founded at the end of 1980, registered as Castcrete Walling where we began the manufacturing of domestic concrete walling products.

Castcrete Walling then specialised in industrial walling products specifically developed for the protection of national key points for clients such as Rand Water Board Pumping Stations and Eskom substations.

In 1997 we diversified our product range and extended our reach in the market to the concrete manufacturing industry through the development of a one-piece concrete toilet structure for water born and pit toilets.

We opened up our scope with the introduction of new products ranging from water pipes, concrete manhole rings and cover slabs by 2001.

With new products in the pipeline and a wide range of manufactured goods by Castcrete – Vula Concrete was founded to further expand knowledge and focus on the Civil Products Lines.

With our extensive experience in concrete manufacturing, in 2007 Castcrete entered the roof tile manufacturing industry with a fully automated Vortex Plant installed by 2008.

We began manufacturing roof tiles in 2014 and in 2016 established our own transport fleet to enable full control of its deliveries, to ensure quick responses and on time deliveries to our customers.

With new products ranges in the pipeline and a wide range of manufactured goods by Castcrete – Vula Concrete was founded in 2001 to further expand knowledge and focus on the Civil Products Lines.

Their standard range includes reinforced precast concrete pipes and manholes. All Vula’s products, where applicable, carry the South African Bureau of Standards mark of approval.
